Club Brugge have made it clear they will not allow Raphael Onyedika leave during the January transfer window after turning down several offers from Galatasaray for the Nigerian midfielder.
According to reports from HLN, the Belgian champions have continued to reject approaches from the Turkish giants, who have been tracking Onyedika for some time. Despite Galatasaray’s sustained interest, Club Brugge remain firm in their stance and are unwilling to part with one of their key players midway through the season.
While Club Brugge are not completely opposed to selling the 24 year old for the right price, any January deal would require an offer that is too good to refuse. The situation could change in the summer, especially with Onyedika’s contract running until 2027. Galatasaray may have to wait until the end of the season, and their patience could pay off if the midfielder shows no willingness to extend his stay in Belgium. With strong interest in him from several clubs, Onyedika could choose not to sign a new deal in order to push through a move away.
Since arriving from FC Midtjylland in 2022, Raphael Onyedika has become a central figure in Club Brugge’s midfield. He has featured in 165 matches for the club and scored eight goals. Before his move to Belgium, he won a Danish league title and the Danish Cup with Midtjylland. At Club Brugge, he has added a league and cup double to his honours.
On the international stage,Raphael Onyedika recently featured for Nigeria at AFCON 2025, making four appearances, including three starts and one outing from the bench. He also missed Club Brugge’s UEFA Champions League victory over Kairat Almaty due to a muscle injury.
