Italian side Pisa have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi from Czech champions Viktoria Plzen in a deal worth €11 million including add-ons, setting a new transfer record for the Czech club.

The move surpasses Plzen’s previous highest sale of €8 million, paid by Hoffenheim for defender Robin Hranac, underlining Durosinmi’s growing reputation in European football.

At Pisa, Durosinmi will reunite with fellow Nigerian Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, the midfielder who is currently on loan at the club from Inter Milan and is presently with the Super Eagles on national team duty after earning his first senior call-up ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 23-year-old forward leaves Plzen after four impressive seasons, during which he made 86 appearances, scoring 35 goals and providing 10 assists. His consistent displays attracted interest from several European clubs and established him as one of Plzen’s most reliable attacking outlets.

Durosinmi could make his debut on Friday when Pisa face Atalanta, as the club looks to end a nine-match winless run and move out of the relegation zone.
