Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar is set to part ways with Real Sociedad in the coming days, with club-to-club agreements already completed for a return to Valencia, where he impressed during a loan spell last season.

Sadiq joined Real Sociedad in 2022 for €20 million following a blistering campaign with UD Almería, but has struggled to replicate that form at the San Sebastián–based club.

The 27-year-old is expected to return to Valencia in a deal reportedly worth €5 million, with an additional €1 million in performance-related bonuses tied to agreed targets between all parties.

During his loan spell last season, Sadiq featured in 19 matches, scoring six goals as he played a key role in helping Valencia retain their La Liga status.

Valencia will now be hoping the Nigerian forward can rediscover that form and once again prove decisive as they battle relegation. The club currently sits 18th in La Liga, having amassed 16 points from 18 games.

Sadiq is expected to sign a two and a half year contract with an option for an extra year with Valencia.
