Nigerian striker Terem Moffi scored his first goal for Hamburger SV, helping the club secure a 3-2 Bundesliga victory over TSG Hoffenheim at the SNP Arena, Trybal News reports.
Moffi, who recently returned from a knee injury, came off the bench to score Hamburg’s equaliser as the visitors came from behind to claim all three points.
Hamburg took the lead in the 12th minute through Yussuf Poulsen, who converted the rebound after his initial effort struck the post. Hoffenheim equalised before half-time when Sebastiaan Bornauw turned the ball into his own net under pressure from Fisnik Asllani.
Bambasé Conté put Hoffenheim ahead in the 52nd minute with an individual effort, but the hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute after Bernardo received a second yellow card for a foul on David Møller Wolfe.
Hamburg equalised through Moffi, who headed home to register his first goal for the club. Miro Muheim then scored in stoppage time with a volley to complete the comeback.
The victory was Hamburg’s second consecutive win, lifting Merlin Polzin’s side to 11th place in the Bundesliga table. Hoffenheim dropped to 17th, with three points. Moffi’s goal marked his return from a knee injury and contributed to Hamburg’s comeback victory.
