Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a hard fought comeback victory over Leeds United, as Bruno Guimaraes scored the decisive goal to revive their title defence.
The Gunners had started the season with four consecutive wins, conceding just once. However, their momentum suffered a setback when Brighton beat them 3 0 before the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s side needed a strong response, but Leeds made life difficult for the champions. The visitors defended with discipline and attacked with confidence before taking the lead 10 minutes into the second half.
James Justin broke the deadlock after Gabriel Gudmundsson pulled the ball back into his path. He then fired home to spark celebrations among the travelling supporters.
The goal carried extra significance for Leeds, who had not won a league match away to Arsenal since May 2003. For a time, their organisation and attacking threat left the hosts looking unsettled.
Arsenal soon found their response, though. Riccardo Calafiori finished from close range after Ben White set him up, restoring parity and giving the home crowd fresh hope.

Bruno Guimaraes Changes the Game for Arsenal
Arteta then made three changes at once, including the introduction of summer signing Bruno Guimaraes, who arrived for a reported £75m. The substitutions lifted the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium and gave Arsenal greater energy in attack.
Eight minutes later, Guimaraes completed the comeback with a composed finish from the edge of the penalty area. The goal capped a flowing attacking move and secured a crucial victory for the Gunners.
Guimaraes made an immediate impact after entering the game in the 63rd minute. He recorded 95% pass accuracy, completed 30 touches and made five recoveries, while covering 4.1km.
His decisive contribution helped Arsenal recover from a difficult afternoon and return to winning ways after their defeat by Brighton.
The result also kept Arsenal within reach of Premier League leaders Manchester City. City remained top on goal difference ahead of their trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday.
